Owner/operator, Jenny Ardill, opened her salon over three years ago after she and her family moved to Killcare. Always interested in massage and skincare, she completed her Diploma of Beauty Therapy and felt at last she had found her personal calling. Her expertise is combined with professional spa training, post-graduate training with The International Dermal Institute as well as training in complementary practices such as reflexology and chakra points.

For Jenny, the whole idea of opening a spa was to give people treatments with the best product range on the market combined with the real magic ingredients - love and nurturing. Even if someone has exceeded their scheduled time, Jenny won't let them leave until they are feeling better, inside and out. She says it can often just be that final stress point that might be relieved before they go back out into the world.

Her mantra is that no-one should put anything on their skin that they wouldn't put in their mouth. She has chosen USPA exclusively for her clients because the products are derived from pure botanical extracts of therapeutic herbs and plants and also fit with her own personal philosophies.

Running the spa from the tranquility of her own home, there is a holistic beauty and dry room, spa treatments and all other beauty treatments. Jenny has created a revitalising space that overlooks a secluded garden, with rich crimson bougainvillea falling gracefully over the fence and pond water gently cascading over rocks. She says the space affords people privacy away from busy shopping centres and that there are no disruptions such as a phone ringing which can be distracting in a busy salon.

The creation of an atmosphere of peace and calm is all part of the service offered by Jenny and her team as is the innate ability to put people completely at ease and to relax totally at the Salon. Clients are an eclectic mix of locals, weekenders and visitors. There are also a number of mothers and daughters taking joint bookings and Jenny is delighted at the number of people of more senior years the Salon attracts.

'I have so much experience now treating mature age skin, sensitised skin, dealing with hormonal issues and all the other areas that we may have problems with,' says Jenny.

She believes it is wonderful that people of all ages are now embracing the concept of giving themselves some love and care and that everyone deserves it. She says there is nothing more satisfying than working with clients to improve their skincare and find products that suit their needs.
